Another example of a NP "noctor", this time in Florida, taking full advantage of the state's recently-passed "full practice authority" statue. Just because you have a DNP doesn't mean that you can present yourself as a doctor to patients, a term that refers exclusively to medical doctors (who actually went to medical school instead of a fluff DNP program) in the clinical setting. Who do you think patients want to see when they ask to see a doctor? A history PhD? A lawyer with a juris doctorate? This kind of dishonest advertising, by deliberately trying to obfuscate the difference between physicians and midlevels, does nothing but mislead patients.
